Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name, cause number, or other term submitted through a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Goliad County Court Docket does not retain or record those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
When you contact us by email, the message is kept as needed to respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers receive limited technical information when a visitor loads a page:
- IP address associated with the visiting device
- Browser type and version
- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- Referring website, when available
- Date and time of each page request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help show how the website is used, including which pages receive traffic and where visits end. Analytics providers combine this traffic information for measurement. You may block cookies through browser controls, although doing so can change how some website functions behave.
What We Do With This Data
Collected information supports these limited operational purposes:
- Operating the website and improving load performance
- Routing a search submission to the appropriate partner service
- Measuring which content visitors use
- Finding and correcting technical faults
- Delivering advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Goliad County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of dockets or personal case records. It provides general directions to records held by the Goliad County & District Clerk's Office, the District Courts and lower courts, and re:SearchTX. Texas court access depends on the record involved. The Texas courts open-records policy distinguishes judicial records and court case records from ordinary executive-agency requests under the Texas Public Information Act. Texas Government Code Chapter 552, including Section 552.0035, recognizes that access to the judiciary is governed by Supreme Court rules, other law, and constitutional provisions. Visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or records about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information entered there is handled under the provider's privacy policy, not this policy. Each provider controls its retention, processing, and disclosure practices. Review those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Goliad County clerk, Texas courts, re:SearchTX, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once you leave this website, the destination's privacy policy applies. Read it before providing personal information.
Advertising companies may use their own systems to track activity across websites and select targeted ads. That processing does not occur on systems controlled by Goliad County Court Docket.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal information is not sold. Limited data may be received by:
- Analytics providers measuring site use and performance
- Search partners processing a query you choose to submit
- Advertising networks serving ads on these pages
- Government or law-enforcement authorities acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used security measures protect information collected through the website. No internet service can guarantee perfect security. Although safeguards are maintained, a security incident cannot be ruled out completely.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults, and personal data is not knowingly collected from anyone younger than 18. If information from a minor is identified, contact us so it can be removed promptly.
Your Data Rights
Rights may vary with the law that applies where you live. Texas laws, including applicable privacy and consumer-protection provisions, may affect a request. Rules governing public court access are separate: Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12 addresses covered judicial records, while court case records may be controlled by other rules and statutes. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Request access to personal information held about you
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Request deletion of personal data
- Object to or opt out of certain processing
Updates to This Policy
This privacy policy may be revised. A changed version will be posted here with a new effective date, so visitors should review it periodically for current practices.
