Find Goliad County Court Dates

A Goliad County court date usually lives in one of three places: the county calendar, the docket files each court posts, and the records kept by that court's clerk. There is no single screen for all of them. District, county, justice, and municipal settings each sit apart, so start by naming the court and the case type. A calendar entry may show a hearing, but the docket and the clerk give the case context around it. Pull the Goliad County court calendar, read the newest setting notice, and confirm any date that looks like it moved before you plan to appear. The phrase "Goliad County court calendar" covers a mix of tools, not one record.

The Goliad County Court Calendar

The official county homepage is where the Goliad County court calendar starts. Its public calendar offers day, week, month, and agenda views. Categories cover County Court, District Court, AG Court, and Public Hearing. This helps you narrow the event. Treat it as a scheduling aid. The widget carries no cause-number or party-name search. It is not a full case register.

Add a second layer through the County & District Clerk page. It posts annual County Court Dates and District Court Dates with downloadable docket material. A district setting may belong to the 24th, 135th, or 267th District Court. County settings, JP matters, and City of Goliad Municipal Court dates sit elsewhere. Each stays with its own clerk. One calendar view cannot speak for every court in Goliad County.

Goliad Calendar View Controls

Each view serves a purpose. Day view fits when you already know the hearing date. Week and month views give wider context. Agenda view lines events up in order, and print-to-PDF, iCal, and RSS controls let you save or follow a public entry. Keep in mind that a saved copy can go stale. A court can later move the setting. The official calendar source shows the controls and categories Goliad County uses for its court calendar events.

Goliad County court calendar controls on the official county homepage

That official page marks the calendar entry point. The linked docket, or a direct call to the court, supplies the setting details that count.

Four-way date check: compare the county calendar, latest docket PDF, case notice or entry, and confirmation from the clerk or court coordinator.

How to Find Your Court Date

Begin with the cause number and court name whenever you have both. A name alone can match more than one case, or more than one clerk. Goliad County publishes no single live lookup box for all hearings. A docket search here takes several routes. Use posted files, statewide data, phone service, or the right counter.

  1. Check the county homepage calendar by date and category, then open an event or linked document that fits the court.
  2. Review County Court Dates or the right district-court date and docket PDF on the clerk page. Search the file for the exact cause number.
  3. Try re:SearchTX and its Hearings area where eligible Goliad data appears. Statewide coverage may be incomplete.
  4. Call the County & District Clerk at 361-645-3294, JP1 at 361-645-3663, JP2 at 361-645-3320, or Municipal Court at 361-645-3454.
  5. Ask counsel, the clerk, or coordinator to confirm the date, time, setting type, location, and form of appearance.
  6. If online sources fail, visit the responsible counter. The county clerk is at 127 N Courthouse Square, the JPs at 329 W Franklin Street, and Municipal Court at 152 W End Street.

A printed calendar or courtroom docket call also lists the day's cases. Local Rule 1.18 covers how cases are called by number and style at the start of the docket, with counsel announcing readiness and expected trial length.

Goliad County Date Downloads

County Court Dates and District Court Dates come as separate downloads. The clerk page lists 2026 county dates plus files for the three district courts. Know what each file is for. An annual schedule shows when a court plans to sit. A session docket lists the matters set that day. Neither gives the full history of a Goliad County case. The official clerk page carries the current date links, standing orders, local rules, and contacts.

That clerk index matters as a fallback. In Goliad County, dates arrive as documents, not results from a countywide case-search form.

Reading a Court Setting

Start with the header on a Goliad County setting. Work down to the case row. The header may name the numbered court, the date, start time, judge, or reporter. The row ties a cause number and case style to one event. Criminal samples add charge, bond, offense date, counsel, or bondsman data. Civil samples lean on hearing labels. These include motion for summary judgment, final hearing, bench trial, temporary orders, and permanency hearing.

DateThe calendar date in the current docket or notice. Check later reset entries.
TimeThe docket start or listed hearing time. Docket call may not be an exact start for one case.
CourtroomThe location on the current notice. Do not infer it from a Victoria administrative address.
JudgeThe presiding judge or numbered court. A district judge may sit by exchange.
Setting TypeThe event, such as arraignment, announcement, motion, final hearing, or trial.

Criminal samples carry cause numbers such as 24-01-5360-CR and 25-03-1685-CR. Do not read their segments as a pattern for civil, probate, JP, or municipal files.

Goliad Court Setting Terms

A setting name tells you why an appearance is set. It never tells you the outcome. Local rules and Goliad dockets use terms worth knowing before you read the court calendar.

Docket call
The court calls numbered cases to learn readiness and sequence.
Announcement docket
An administrative call for readiness, plea, settlement, or a later setting.
Motion hearing
A setting on a request for an order, not a trial unless the notice says so.
Temporary orders
Interim relief while a civil or family matter remains pending.
Dismissal docket
A call for cases that may be dismissed for delay or lack of prosecution.
Suspense docket
A place for a stayed or abated case under Local Rule 1.21.

Under Local Rule 3.18, a scheduling or docket-control order drives the trial date, expected length, jury status, and deadlines. A short calendar label may leave those facts out.

Resets, Continuances, and Cancellations

A reset, continuance, or pass does not end the case. It only means the old setting moved, was carried, or was never reached. Filing a continuance request changes nothing by itself. Keep the notice, and confirm whether the court actually granted the change.

Conflicts happen. The calendar may show one entry. A later docket, scheduling order, or clerk record can give a new setting. When they clash, call the office holding the case. District and county files route through the right function of the combined clerk's office. JP1, JP2, and Municipal Court keep their own lower-court calendars. Local Rules 1.19 through 1.21 cover continuances, dismissal dockets, and suspense dockets. Each works differently. Read the Goliad local rules beside the case order and notice.

Note: A docket may record a moved setting, but direct court confirmation is prudent before relying on the new date.

Goliad Calendar Travel Check

Confirm the building and the setting before you drive to Courthouse Square. District judges ride multi-county districts. They keep administrative contacts in Victoria. Yet a Goliad case can still be heard at the Goliad courthouse. Only the docket or a direct call to the court can tell you where that hearing sits. The county posts no public Zoom schedule or weather-closure page. There is no countywide remote-appearance list or full coordinator directory either.

Clerk hours matter too. The combined clerk office sets its hours at Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. That schedule starts June 1, 2026. Lunch runs from noon to 12:30 p.m. Money changes hands only until 5:00 p.m. Those hours say nothing about when a hearing starts. Some counter services end before closing. When timing matters, call 361-645-3294.

Standing orders govern phones, devices, and recording in the courtroom. Ask permission before you record, photograph, or open a laptop. Need an accommodation? Contact the clerk or coordinator ahead of the setting.

What To Do If You Miss a Setting

Miss a Goliad County court setting? Act the same day. Pull the latest notice. Check the cause number and court. Then call the office that holds the file. Ask what entry was made, whether a new date was set, and what you must do next. If a lawyer represents you, tell that lawyer right away. A case that drops off the public calendar has not been reset. It has not been dismissed either. Never assume either one.

What happens next depends on the court, the type of case, and the orders in force. Missing a criminal or fine-only setting can trigger failure-to-appear consequences. A civil court may act under its own rules and orders. Only the court responsible for the case can confirm its true status.

Missed a Setting? A missed appearance can lead to serious court action, including a warrant or bond consequence in an appropriate criminal matter.

Contact the responsible clerk or your attorney at once and ask for the current docket entry and next required step.

Consider legal advice before appearing if the Goliad County court says further process has issued.

Goliad Calendar PDF Fallback

A calendar search that turns up nothing? Work backward from the court and the date. Scan the posted PDF for the exact cause number. Try name spellings if you lack the number. The Goliad County case search routes can surface a cause number through eligible statewide data. Still, a statewide hit does not mean the local PDF lists the case.

Older files may live on paper, microfilm, or in a local archive. For current district and county files, the County & District Clerk is the official starting point. A historical collection can point you toward leads. But it cannot stand in for the clerk's official record.

If the file stays out of reach, call, visit, or mail the office that holds it. Mail for the combined clerk goes to P.O. Box 50, Goliad, TX 77963. State the court, cause number, and party name. Add the approximate date, the setting you want, your contact information, and the format you need. The office offers no general docket-request email, fax, drop box, or promised mail turnaround.
